This bill would require that businesses with 10 or more employees designate one such employee to act as a COVID-19 coordinator. That employee would be trained by the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) and the Office of Emergency Management. DCWP would develop the virtual training program detailing guidance or requirements issued by the State or City. The training program would be posted on the DCWP website. Any employer that violates this local law would be subject to a warning in the first instance and civil penalty of not more than $1000 for a subsequent violation.
