This bill would create an artificial intelligence working group within the New York City Commission on Human Rights. This group would be tasked with studying the impact of artificial intelligence on employment in New York City as well as reviewing the enforcement actions taken under Local Law 144 of 2021. The group would write a biennial report detailing their findings as well as provide guidance for bias audits and passing criteria for AI tools used in hiring to ensure they are in accordance with applicable federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws and regulations.
