This bill would require the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), to submit an annual report that would analyze how the contracting of various parks services affects the performance of its functions. The report would include the number of full-time and part-time staff employed by DPR and assess the department’s contracting requirements, whether the staff headcount is sufficient to meet the needs of the department, and whether it would be feasible to supplement or replace certain contracted work with the addition of more full-time or part-time staff employed by the department.
