This bill would require DOHMH to develop and maintain a centralized electronic system to collect and track data regarding language access services provided at its facilities and public-facing programs. This system would include the ability to track the preferred language of each member of the public that interacts with DOHMH at its facilities and would also include functionality to log every instance where language access services are requested or provided, and every instance of DOHMH’s inability to provide such services. This system would be universal across DOHMH facilities. The bill would also require DOHMH to report annually on the language access services provided at its facilities.
