This bill would gradually expand the number of licenses that are available to vend food and merchandise on the sidewalks of New York City. Each year, there would be 2,000 additional supervisory license applications and 2,100 additional general vendor license applications available to prospective vendors beginning in 2026 until 2031. This bill would also expand training, increase the rate of enforcement agents required to inspect street vendor setups, and authorize license suspension or revocation upon a finding of serious and persistent violations. This bill would require the Street Vendor Advisory Board to examine and make recommendations pertaining to the new requirements.
